Prickly fingers
And trembling skin
The feel of a scarf
Around my neck

There’s coffee on your
breath, fogging up the window
And you’re not shivering
In that fleece sweater of yours

“I’m not cold,” You say,
Not to me, of course
Yet I still whisper
“But darling,
You’re the coldest of them all.”
