Her poetry spoke
Of the boy she loved
And she painted him in wondrous
Literature

Words transcending
The look in his
Eyes and uplifting
The grace in his voice

She showed her art
To her closest people
A sliver of her own secret
And they too were transfixed

So much so
That they too
Fell for this boy
As her words described

And she
The lonely poet
Looks sadly upon her work
Cursing the gods, she supposed

For granting her such a gift
And a heart full of too much love
A love she never meant
To share.
