What part of them
Is different,
You ask?

Is it their hair?
Eyes
Mouths and noses?

The curve of their bodies
The splay of their fingers
The length of limbs?

They are different
From their crowns
Down to their scepters
And long, lovely capes

And they would not
Have it
Any other way

So do not dare
To change the tides
Of their beautiful minds

Lest you find
A hollow darkness
Where there is nothing but
Blinding light.
